My car has what I believe is the factory installed alarm system. I can't find a make on the black box, but because the car was loaded with every other option, I assume it's factory.

For the first four years the car would arm itself after 30 seconds, it caused many problems, like locking me out while it was running. After learning that alarms have options, I went looking for the control box and found in it 5 dip switches.

Here are what each switch controls:
1--Auto arm alarm
2--?
3--?
4--Auto lock doors
5--?

One of them must be for a report of the horn when being armed and disarmed, my horn has been disconnected. It would go off in the winter when the battery would get low from sitting. I'll hook it up and find out what the rest do some time. Please email me if you know more about this alarm system.
